As of now Ubuntu is now in the release for 9.10! gogo update your machines, try it out, update! There are a tone of new features to go with this! check out the Feature list If you haven’t tried it before get Ubuntu and give it a go!

There are many ways to install it and try it, download the iso to burn the cd or mount, and install in your machine as a dual boot, in a virtual machine like Virtual Box (which is free) or by using the wubi installer.

I have used Ubuntu for a while now and feel this is one of the more stable and appealing releases so far. I have only had one problem, and that was a kernel panic, no idea where that came from. But all in all a stable release. I use wine and Crossover for the windows programs I need, but unfortunatly not all programs work, Open Pandora for one. I do have MS Office running, along with my games such as WoW and HL2.

Although there are many things you can run in linux, that you can run in windows. There are a lot of things that don’t

Anyway thought I would post that it was out, and that people who use 9.04 or even 9.10 beta should update their install!

Linux heads you know who you are! I may upgrade to another install like fedora or even plain debian, not sure if you can. If you know, let me know!
